Arsames I.
King of Sophene & Commagene, from Orontid dynasty, 255-225 BC.

Arsames was the son of Samos from Orontid dynasty. Arsames founded the cities of Arsamosata in Sophene and Arsameia in Commagene.
 
Obverse: Bust of king Arsames to the right draped, wearing a cylindrical tiara, tied with a diadem.
Reverse: Eagle standing to the right, ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ APΣΑΜΟΥ (?) (King Arsames).
